The beautifully restored trains offer accommodation of the highest standard and combine the wealth of a bygone era with subtle modern innovations. Travel from Pretoria to the Victoria Falls through stunning landscapes and create unique African experiences. Safari and natural phenomena up close. This three-night (optional four-day) adventure begins with the departure of the train from the Rovos Rail station in Pretoria. The train travels northwards through Warmbaths (Bela-Bela) and Nylstroom (Modimolle), known for their hot and natural mineral springs. After crossing the Tropic of Capricorn and the Limpopo River, the train reaches Bulawayo, the second-largest city in Zimbabwe and capital of Matabeleland. A game drive in the Matobo National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is possible on a four-day trip. The journey continues to Hwange National Park, where a game drive is also part of the itinerary. After traveling along one of the world's longest straight railway lines (114 km), the journey ends at the majestic Victoria Falls. The surroundings offer activities such as boat trips, white-water rafting, great wildlife observation, and photo safaris. Please note that this journey may be rerouted northward through Botswana depending on rail capacity.
